Just finished chapter 10, so things are moving along. At this rate I'll probably be ready to post a preview of the first chapter in a couple of weeks. So far book two is shaping up to be a lot like the first book, only longer and with a lot more development of the setting and characters.

  1. Is the series planned to be a trilogy or something longer?

    1. Longer. I've get a concept in mind for the third book, and there will probably be a couple more beyond that.

  4. Will pay money for an advanced reader copy. I like innovation. Your idea for a spinning blade grenade is an idea that is going to be adopted by RPG gamers in the future.
    Good Work!

  5. I was re-re-re-re-re(?)-reading Fimbulwinter and I wondered about this: "the King of Liches, the Riftlords, the Blade Queen of the Devouring Swarm". I get Arthas the Lich King from Warcraft III and Kerrigan the Queen of Blades from Starcraft. But what are the Riftlords referencing?

    1. An MMO called Rifts, which I played a bit back when it first came out. Not a bad game, but aside from a couple of gimmicks it was pretty run of the mill.

  6. Hey, couldn't find a link to just message you, since this isn't directly related to the post. You may want to look into some search engine optimization. The only way I've been able to find this site is your Amazon author page. Throw some keywords regarding the series up on the header might even be enough, but I can't even find this site with Google.
Looking forward to your next book.

    1. I'll probably look into that once the next book is finished, but right now I'd rather spend my time writing than fiddling around with that kind of thing. Right now Amazon's recommendation engine is my main form of advertising, and this blog is just a way to communicate with readers who are interested enough to look at my author's page.

    1. Not quite three weeks yet, and still more than a month from the projected completion date for the first draft.
